Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium (PCGC) Study dbGaP Acknowledgment Statements
03/28/2019

The acknowledgment of the PCGC dataset(s) should always include the following, along with their relevant dbGaP accession number(s).

Components of the PCGC dbGaP Acknowledgment Statements:
I.
Use the following statement for ALL analyses resulting from PCGC dbGaP data:

“These data were generated by the Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium (PCGC), under the auspices of the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute’s Bench to Bassinet Program https://benchtobassinet.com.”

II. Use one or more of the following statements relevant to the collaboration and specific datasets used in your analysis:

  1. Members of the PCGC or investigators who collaborated with the PCGC on a specific analysis for which data is being obtained through this dbGaP submission are requested to use the following statement of acknowledgement:
“The Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium (PCGC) program is funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through grants UM1HL128711, UM1HL098162, UM1HL098147, UM1HL098123, UM1HL128761, and U01HL131003. This manuscript was prepared in collaboration with investigators of the PCGC and has been reviewed and/or approved by the PCGC. PCGC investigators are listed at https://benchtobassinet.com/Centers/PCGCCenters.aspx”.
  2. Investigators who did not collaborate with the PCGC on a specific analysis for which data is being obtained through this dbGaP submission are requested to use the following statement of acknowledgment:
“The Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium (PCGC) program is funded by the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, National Institutes of Health, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services through grants UM1HL128711, UM1HL098162, UM1HL098147, UM1HL098123, UM1HL128761, and U01HL131003. This manuscript was not prepared in collaboration with investigators of the PCGC, has not been reviewed and/or approved by the PCGC, and does not necessarily reflect the opinions of the PCGC investigators or the NHLBI.”
  3. For the Kids First Pediatric Research Program in Congenital Heart Disease dataset(s): “The results analyzed and <published or shown> here are based in whole or in part upon data generated by Gabriella Miller Kids First Pediatric Research Program projects <insert phs accession number(s)>, and were accessed from the Kids First Data Resource Portal (https://kidsfirstdrc.org/) and/or dbGaP (www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/gap). The PCGC Kids First study includes data sequenced by the Broad Institute (U24 HD090743-01).”
  4. For the NHLBI TOPMed: Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium (PCGC)’s Congenital Heart Disease Biobank dataset:

“The TOPMed acknowledgement statement can be found at: https://www.nhlbiwgs.org/acknowledgements.”

E. For the Pediatric Cardiac Genomics Consortium (PCGC) Study – Centers for Mendelian Genomics collaboration dataset:
“National Institutes of Health (NIH) support was provided in part by grants from the National Human Genome Research Institute and the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute to the Centers for Mendelian Genomics at the Broad Institute (grant # HG008900), the University of Washington (grant # HG006493), and Yale University (grant # HG006504). The dataset(s) used for the analyses described in this manuscript was obtained from the database of Genotype and Phenotype (dbGaP) found at http://www.ncbi.nlm. nih.gov/gap through dbGaP accession number phs00XXXX.”
